Nothing is more majestic and thrilling than a close encounter of the whale kind! Take off for a day to the coast and catch one of many whale tours! But, book ahead - the tours are usually sold out if you try to schedule the day of (try for at least a month out). Grey whales migrate north to Alaska from mid-March to June and can be seen splashing through the water from the shore. However, make it an up close experience with your spouse by taking a charter to see those beautiful creatures.
