This date is all about serving others! The Portland area has many needy children who could use your help. Volunteering at the Northwest Children's Outreach will benefit not only many needy children, but the relationship you have with your spouse. NCO is a non-profit organization that collects donated clothing, diapers, formula, sanitary products, shoes, toys, and books for local children in need. As a volunteer you will fill orders placed by various organizations on behalf of those children. Each child will receive new shirts, pants, sweatershirts/coats/jackets, socks, underwear, shoes, and other necessities to help make their lives a little easier. Many of these children are living in poverty or are foster children. For information on hours of operation check out their website here

Relationship Reconnection:

While you are busy filling orders ponder the times your spouse has generously served you in the past. Share your thoughts with your spouse on the way home and thank them for all they do to help you. Top the night off with a stop at Shari's Cafe and Pies for some cheesy fries and a milkshake!
