We all have experienced times of stress and tension. These times are not only hard on us, they are hard on those we are closest to as well. It can put a strain on our relationship with our spouse. Luckily, there are many ways to relieve some of that stress. According to the ADAA, scientists have found that regular participation in aerobic exercise has been shown to decrease overall levels of tension, elevate and stabilize mood, improve sleep, and improve self-esteem. Even five minutes off aerobic exercise can stimulate anti-anxiety effects.
